Worse, the attack was filmed by a witness and broadcast on social networks.
While the school has suspended some officials for five days, the 14-year-old victim still fears for her safety.
In a video excerpt obtained by TVA Nouvelles journalist Yves Poirier, the young woman is forced to kneel in front of her attackers.
She had previously been beaten, had $20 stolen, her glasses taken away, broken, and thrown in the trash.
“They beat her, intimidated her, forced her to kneel. He doesn’t really seem to be so submissive to please three girls. Instead of trying to quit [l’agression] they filmed, and we laughed,” complains the grandmother of the young victim.
“It’s free. It’s as if we said ‘I don’t like your face, you’ll pay me for it'”, denounces the lady.
Her mother has to pick her up and pick her up from school every day. “Right now she’s scared. She’s afraid it’ll start again. My daughter has to bring it to me tomorrow morning,” adds the maternal grandmother, who adds that those responsible have been suspended for five days.
Without confirming the nature of the sanctions against the aggressors, the establishment leadership assures that there have been some.
“This is a situation that happened during dinner time near the school. However, we obtained the information quickly and, of course, we took action, ”says Nadia Caron, director of the Gérad-Filion school.
“Yes, we put in place penalties when there are some to put in place, but we play further to help after these young people who need help,” he explains.
Caron, on the other hand, refuses to specify the nature of the disciplinary sanctions against the young people.
The Service de police de la Ville de Longueuil also confirmed that it intervened in this case. The inquiry was referred to the Director of Criminal and Criminal Procedures.
