Most recently, the old master of Latvian rap Ozols released a single together with the new talent Prusax, but this week he presented a new song “Antidepressants”, which was created in collaboration with a brand new name in music – ZeBrene.
The authors of the lyrics of the single “Antidepressanti” are Ozols and ZeBrene, who is also the author of the music – it is no wonder that this song is more pop than usual to hear it in Ozola’s repertoire. The song also includes a text video by the singer Madara Dzintara (“Radio Trio”), while the advertising photo session took place at the Riga National Zoo. Song producer – Kaspars Ansons. As for ZeBreni, “this musician is successful in the industry, but now introduces himself with a new stage name, without revealing any details about his personality,” the publishers say.
The video of the song “Antidepressants” is visually richly enriched with various capsules, and the text also makes you think about the problem of antidepressants. “If we talk about a specific story of a song, then I have to say that my biggest wish is that a person listens to the song and hears exactly what he wants. To feel it in your own way and catch the feeling you want. We had a great collaboration together, and I hope that the song will go to the nations, that people will like it, that the listeners will appreciate our work, ”says Ozols, emphasizing that everyone should enjoy the song according to their feelings. “If art has to be explained, then something is wrong,” laughs Ozols. In turn, his partner ZeBrene adds in this song: “Everyone can perceive the song differently, even perhaps as humor, but in reality there is a very serious topic in the literal sense – antidepressants. It is a true and direct song. It stood on the shelf for about three to four years, occasionally looking for teammates for realization, but so far had not been able to find the right combination. As you know, those songs that just accumulate on the shelves take away energy for the next ones, so I decided that it should end. As it turned out – the right time and the right place, because Ozols appeared next to him, who is very ordinary, responsive and happy to get involved in such adventures. As they say, those who do not take risks do not win. ”
