San Francisco Police detained the suspect, identified as 54-year-old Patrick Thompson.

A man stabbed two elderly Asian women, 65 and 84, on Tuesday afternoon as they were waiting for the bus at a stop in the city of San Francisco, California.
In a video, captured by security cameras and shared This Friday on channel ABC7, you can see how the attacker sneaks up on one of the women and stabs her in the back. Then assault the next victim.

After the incident, both women were hospitalized. Victoria Eng, granddaughter of the oldest victim, Chui Fong Eng, explained that her grandmother was stabbed in the right arm and that the knife blade entered her chest. He added that the woman had a successful operation, informs AP. Meanwhile, the identity of the other wound was not revealed.
To finance the medical expenses of the injuries, Chui Fong Eng’s family launched an online collection through GoFundMe, which reached $ 120,000.

For their part, the Police arrested a suspect a few hours later, identified as Patrick Thompson, 54, who has a criminal record.
The man was accused on Wednesday of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and abuse of the elderly, with an increase in the sentence for major bodily injuries, major bodily injuries in the elderly and personal use of a deadly weapon, detailed the Office of the Prosecutor of the District in a statement.
Thompson, who also has a history of mental illness, could face possible life in prison if convicted.
