“And 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. We continue, we turn and we start again. 1, 2, 3 … ” Sunday September 12, 2021, the repetitions are in full swing at Château-Gontier (Mayenne).
The sixteen candidates for the Miss Pays de la Loire 2021 election take the stage for the first time in Parc Saint-Fiacre. The day before, they were at Château le Prieuré in Gennes-Val-de-Loire, near Saumur (Maine-et-Loire).
Representing the five departments of the region Pays de la Loire, the candidates are training for the election which will take place for the third consecutive year at Château-Gontier. Appointment Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 8:30 p.m.
A real rehearsal day
“This year, it’s a little quieter. Last year everything was done in haste because of the health crisis ”, underlines Marie-Ange Domingo who is in charge of staging of the evening.
“For the 2021 election, we can organize a real day of rehearsals and the girls will also train on the day-day. And then they will also be able to work on the paintings at home, during the week, using videos. “
So, to the maneuvers, Marie-Ange Domingo. The likeable 34-year-old must teach the girls four paintings which will punctuate the evening of September 18, 2021.
“It’s a lot of work for a rendering that is ultimately quite short throughout the evening,” she smiles. “This year we have chosen a theme around music, a journey through time. So we will have 30s, 60s of disco, and music of the 90s / 2000s. “
“It’s taking shape”
On stage, the girls perform. Quickly, the first sequences are fluid. And the good atmosphere is there even if Marie-Ange keeps an eye on the grain with a touch of authority in her voice, but always with sympathy.
After two hours of repetitions, the result is already apparent. “It’s taking shape, it’s not so bad for amateurs! », Jokes the young woman.
Vote by SMS during the evening
New this year for the Miss Pays de la Loire election: it will be possible to support your favorite candidate by SMS, from home. This is in addition to the vote of the public present in the room.
The election jury will then decide between the eight candidates who obtained the most votes.
How to do ? Send “PDL” with the candidate’s number. Prices: € 0.75 + cost of an SMS for each vote.
Amandine Petit, Miss France 2021, will be present during the evening. And Sylvie Tellier, general manager of Miss France organization, will also make the trip.
