A tragedy happened in Colombia after a military helicopter fell this Sunday, March 19, in the La Playita sector, in Quibdó, Chocó. According to official data provided by President Gustavo Petro, at least four members of the army died in the incident.
The crash of the aircraft was videotaped by witnesses. In the images that circulated through social networks and telephone services, it is observed at the moment when the helicopter without control begins to rotate on its own axis and falls precipitously.

The authorities agreed that the accident aircraft had EJC 4227 license plates and fell in the La Playita sector, in Quibdó, Chocó. In other recordings it can be seen that after the wing fell the helicopter caught fire
Shortly after the images went viral, the president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, reported that the military crew of the aircraft were doing supply work, for which he ordered that support be provided immediately after the accident.
“There were no survivors in the plane crash in Quibdó,” confirmed the Colombian president and among the fatalities were four soldiers identified as: Héctor Jerez, Julieth García, Johan Orozco and Rubén Leguizamón, members of the Colombian Army.
“Within a supply operation (…) to bring food to all the soldiers who carry out missions in Alto and Medio Baudó, this tragic accident occurred,” Héctor Alfonso Candelario, commander of the Joint Task Force, told the press. Titan.
Unfortunately, the aircraft was completely burned to ashes, apparently the other two crew members “apparently and according to what the community saw jumped out of the helicopter.”
