DKI Jakarta Provincial Government held a video mapping in order to welcome 78th Indonesian Independence Day Republic of Indonesia Independence. The show immediately became the center of attention of visitors around the Hotel Indonesia (HI) Roundabout, Jakarta this evening.

Monitoring by detikcom location, Thursday (17/8/2023) around 19.00 WIB the video mapping show at the HI roundabout fountain has started. A number of visitors on the pavilion seemed enthusiastic to enjoy the event.

The show begins with sparkling lights and towering fountains. The strains of the Indonesian Pusaka song add to the beauty of the show.

The video show actually doesn’t last long, only about 5 minutes. However, the video continues to be played regularly to pamper visitors in the HI Roundabout area.

From the pavilion, Andin (37) and his three sons could be seen enthusiastically watching the video mapping. Occasionally, Andin can be heard explaining to his son regarding the visuals shown in the video.

“This is Pak Habibie, this is Pak Gusur, this is Pak Jokowi,” Andin explained to his son when pictures of the Indonesian President were shown on the video.

The woman who lives in Depok, West Java said she was happy with the video mapping provided. According to him, the video shows as educational entertainment that can be enjoyed by all residents.

“It’s really fun, because what else is the entertainment for Jakarta residents, the time for malls continues. At least it’s cheap, especially if it’s like this (an event in an open space) the public can see everything,” he said.

“Especially for children, so they know who the presidents are, maybe now they only know Jokowi or Soekarno, even though there are others,” he added.

Andin further admitted that at first he did not know about the screening of video mapping. He said he only intended to take a selfie at the HI Roundabout Bus Stop.

“I don’t know (there is a video mapping). Incidentally, we were just walking from Monas to go home, but we were planning to stop by here and it just so happened to be here,” he said.

The housewife then appreciated the idea of making the video mapping. He hopes the government can continue to provide good innovations that can be felt directly by the community.

“I definitely support good questions like this. The hope is that there should be more publications and information that might be better,” he said.
