A day in New York is unlike any other day. You can see countless sports cars there. Some are driven by unconscious motorists: the proof with this video of a 488 Pista in the middle of 5th Avenue.
Donuts in the middle of New York? Yes ! And we’re not talking about a candy vendor. We recently came across this YouTube video of a matte black Ferrari 488 Pista doing some donuts in the middle of a New York street. It appears that the driver of the 488 in question was cruising the city streets next to a bright red Lamborghini Aventador SVJ when the Ferrari owner decided to have a little fun in the middle of the most expensive street in the world. After his small burns, the driver narrowly avoids a sidewalk, then goes up the street in the opposite direction on Fifth Avenue.
If this makes us smile at first viewing, its small waterfall in the middle of New York is nevertheless very dangerous. There are dozens of pedestrians on the sidewalk near where he had fun. If the driver had made a mistake in his maneuver, he could have easily lost control and crashed into some of these passers-by.
Don’t do it again
Towards the end of the video we can also see a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder and a new BMW M3 in the background, perhaps indicating that the 488 Pista and Aventador were definitely taking part in some sort of car rally or other gathering of the kind. This certainly explains the excitement of the driver of the 488 Pista: the emulation of the group and the 720 horsepower that he has under the hood perhaps tickled him a little. He would not be the first motorist to let his emotions overwhelm him and do a few silly things without worrying about the dangerousness of the maneuver.
