VIDEO | Lufthansa plans to close its aircraft maintenance facilities in Bremen and Hanover

The Lufthansa Group wants to give up aircraft maintenance in Bremen. The locations in Hanover, Düsseldorf and Leipzig are also threatened with closure. Parts of the maintenance are only to be retained in Hamburg and Frankfurt. 780 of the total of 1,350 jobs are in danger. The airline names the aviation crisis caused by Corona as one of the main reasons. The Verdi union has sharply criticized the closings and calls on the group’s board of directors to correct the plans.
