A local armed with a cardboard sign bearing the message “Lucian Bode’s resignation! Rușinea Sălajului” greeted the Minister of the Interior at Cluj Airport on Thursday evening, as shown by the images posted on his Facebook account by Daniel Coste.
The images show Bode leaving the terminal and walking towards the exit of the airport, at which point the man from Cluj told him, in a calm tone: “Resign Mr. Bode, shame on you, you are a proven plagiarist. You don’t help us at all with Schengen entry. Good evening”.
Lucian Bode did not answer, contenting himself with smiling at the words.
The Ethics Commission of Babeș – Bolyai University in Cluj decided on Wednesday that Lucian Bode had plagiarized in his doctoral thesis. The Minister of the Interior, who is also the general secretary of the PNL, rejected the accusations and said he would go to court.
