The Toulousains conceded, this Monday, September 27, their first defeat of the season. In a match of rare pace and intensity.
What a game ! If the “Ligue 2” product was looking for good publicity, this TFC – Caen is a blessing: 5 goals, commitment, spectacle. This jovial game, between Toulouse and Caennais, the Violets lost it, 3 goals to 2. First defeat of the season for the boys of Philippe Montanier, who remain first in the standings, but with “only” 3 points ahead of their Sochaux dolphins. They could have counted 6 if successful.
Crazy first period
The Caennais scored the first, by Franklin Wadja from the 8th minute. The defensive midfielder, managed to get rid of Sylla’s marking, placed a crossed header at the reception of a corner which deceived Maxime Dupé.
Stung to the quick, the Toulousains will overthrow the Normans in barely 3 minutes. First reaction in the 14th minute: obtaining a penalty for a Caen hand in the penalty area.
