The home team from Paris took the lead in the 2nd minute after a goal by Kylian Mbappe and they had the reins of the duel firmly in their hands until the 65th minute. Keylor Navas came close to extending the visitors’ lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle, but he lifted the ball over. The visitors kept the pressure on to tie the game when, after 11 minutes, Randal Kolo Muani broke through the center and found himself alone with the keeper.
However, the Nantes players were very unlucky in five minutes. Dennis Appiah knocked one home from a counterattack down the right wing, making the score 0 – 1 after 5 minutes. In the 87th minute, Messi confirmed the favorite’s triumph with an accurate shot and recorded his first hit in the French league.
Paris stretched the winning streak in three matches and has a 13-point lead over Lens at the top of the table. It awaits Sunday’s duel in Breste.
