While conflicting opinions arise as a result of the president’s decision Rodrigo Chaves to eliminate the requirement of vaccination against Covid-19 in public employees, former liberationist candidate José María Figueres posted a video on his social networks while he was immunized, while thanking the outgoing health authorities for “taking care of us,” he said.

“Nothing better than starting this period by getting vaccinated. Thank you Minister (always) Salas and CCSS for taking care of us. The same respect to those who do not believe in science”, wrote Figuereswhile he is seen in the 12-second audiovisual with a mask on and uncovering his arm.
This message comes after President Chaves also decreed after his constitutional oath that the mask will no longer be mandatorywith the exception of frontline health workers, as well as state officials who serve the public.

According to reports, the current Minister of Health, Joselyn Chaconwill be offering a press conference tomorrow, Tuesday, in which he will provide more details to the country about these presidential decisions regarding his portfolio.
