It was around 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, when a fire broke out in the living room of an apartment located on the eighth floor of a ten-story building, rue de Tchécoslovaquie, Malakoff district, in Nantes. Upon arrival, the firefighters discovered a woman trapped in her apartment where she lives alone.
The victim was taken care of by the Samu in a serious condition, medicalized on the spot pending his evacuation to the CHU.

The fire was quickly brought under control thanks to the rapid action of the firefighters, preventing it from spreading to other apartments. Three rescue centers were mobilized, placed under the command of the group leader, Lieutenant Didier Gesvret.
Four neighbors, living in the apartments located nearby, inhaled smoke without gravity a priori. No other accommodation was affected.
