It’s an almost daily scene in the Guillotière district in Lyon. In the middle of the night, alcoholic individuals are fighting in the street while the curfew has been in effect for several hours. Association “La Guillotière in anger” posted a new video online this Thursday, December 17, 2020 illustrating the daily life of residents of the neighborhood.
Alcohol and fights in the street
If there Place Gabriel Péri is known to bring together street vendors of contraband products, the climate has also deteriorated in the adjacent streets since the second lockdown. Wild bar cars cause gatherings and alcohol helping, incidents multiply.

No respect for confinement and even less for the curfew
Coincidence, Nathalie Balmat, President of the association “La Guillotière in Anger” was precisely the guest of our colleagues from BFM Lyon to evoke the life of the district where the second confinement was like the first.
“We weren’t under any illusions … The gatherings continued every evening at Place Gabriel-Péri where street vendors meet, but also many gatherings in the adjacent streets where people drink alcohol on the street. public road. It starts in the early evening until late at night … “
The association is determined to keep the pressure on the authorities and elected officials of Lyon so that a real action plan is built and solutions are found.
