Brazilian Gremio players entered the team’s playground in front of Sao Luiz in the local championship, wearing a “muzzle”, in protest against the continuation of the competitions despite the outbreak of the emerging Corona virus around the world.
Players entered the field, led by coach Renato Portalope, all dressed up in the muzzle to draw the country’s football officials ’attention to the need to stop playing.
The club’s sporting director, Paulo Luz, said: “Objection by entering the stadium, wearing the muzzle, came to express our support for stopping the championship. Life must be a priority.”
And the clubs of Brazil are demanding during the past days to stop the activity in order to prevent exposure to infection with the Corona virus.
