College football is principally popular in North America. But a message from the night on Sunday makes the league known far beyond the box of footballers.
In the Miami Hurricanes game against Appalachian State, a cat escaped from the upper tier of the stands and hung with one paw on a rope. The fans in the stands below reacted counter-of-mind and stretched a USA flag as a drape. In fact, the animal could soon no longer hold on and fell a good ten meters into the depth. To the big cheers, however, exactly in the Star-Spangled Banner.
Miami won the game 25:23, the cat was uninjured. How she got into the stadium is still unclear.
