Rahmat Saputra’s Report | Southwest Aceh
SERAMBINEWS.COM, BLANGPIDIE – The Southwest Aceh Health Service (Dinkes Abdya) conducted fogging in the Long House Village, Susoh District, Tuesday (21/12/2021) morning.
The fogging carried out by the Health Service responded to a request from DPRK member Abdya regarding the presence of five children in the village who were infected with dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF).
Head of Communicable Disease Prevention and Control (P2PM) at the Abdya Health Office, Edi Muksin, said that in addition to the house that was attacked by dengue, fogging was also carried out around the house with a radius of 200 meters.
Fogging is done to kill adult Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. Meanwhile, mosquito larvae are eradicated by liquid abatization to the source of the mosquito nest.
Abatization is useful for killing mosquito larvae, so they don’t breed.
To anticipate dengue fever, the community is asked to apply 3 M plus, namely, draining water reservoirs, closing water reservoirs, and burying used goods.
While the pluses, avoid mosquito bites by sleeping using mosquito nets and turning on insect repellent.
Keuchik Rumah Panjang, Mushar, thanked the health office for fogging at Gampong Rumah Panjang. Because the dengue fever has been troubling its citizens.
