The wind blows from the north and, according to our weatherman Stefan van der Gijze, was force 3 around the outbreak of the fire. The map below shows to which area in Hellevoetsluis an NL-Alert has been sent. In that warning message, residents were urged to stay indoors, close windows and doors, and turn off the ventilation. That advice still applies around 9 p.m.
