A few weeks before the presidential elections, Gala.fr inaugurates a new appointment, the political CV. For this issue, Fabien Roussel has agreed to play along and answer questions from Candice Nedelec, head of the political service at Gala. His first job and his passion for cooking, he tells us everything.
In forty-one days, the first round of the presidential election takes place. To find out more about the course of the candidates, Candice Nedelec and Amélie Cochet spoke with them during a new meeting, the political CV. After Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Anne Hidalgo or even Valérie Pécresse, it’s Fabien Roussel’s turn to play the game. Facing the camera, the Communist Party candidate confided as rarely. The candidate even revealed his favorite recipe. Everyone in the kitchen!
“I love to cook” admits Fabien Roussel. Despite a busy schedule lately because of the presidential campaign, “as soon as we can with my girlfriend, we cook together and we make four-handed dishes.” If the candidate had to choose only one dish, it would be: Flemish stew, a variant of carbonade made with pieces of meat braised with beer. This is a dish from Nord-Pas-de-Calais “which we like to make and we have our own special recipe with good fries, real fries.” To convince, Fabien Roussel adds: “This is delicious.”

Fabien Roussel: his reaction if he is elected president
For Fabien Roussel, “the responsibility is enormous” if his name appears on the screen on April 24th. It means that he is elected President of the Republic. “I think I’m getting old and I’m rolling up my sleeves” he admits. Before adding: “And I say to myself ‘Now we’re going to go and it’s going to change.‘” Regarding his first call after his victory, he chooses to join the German Chancellor. Why ? “For a quick meeting. And then I call the future prime minister.” Who is it ? Mystery… We still have to wait forty-one days to find out who will be elected to lead France.
