The prosecution announced the opening of an investigation, Wednesday October 9, after the broadcast of a very unusual video in which hooded men claiming to be from the DZ Mafia, a clan of Marseille drug traffickers, deny any link with the last two narchomicides committed in the city. The investigation was opened for “criminal conspiracy with a view to preparing crimes and offenses relating to organized crime”.

In this video, published on social networks, a man dressed in black surrounded by around fifteen men dressed in the same way speaks in front of a desk covered with a white sheet bearing the words « DZ Mafia ». His voice changed, he “refutes the involvement of this organization in the assassinations of a 15-year-old teenager and a VTC driver perpetrated between October 2 and 4, 2024 in Marseille”said the prosecution in a press release.

It now remains to authenticate these images and identify the people who are behind them. The investigations were entrusted to the judicial police and the Anti-Cybercrime Office (OFAC), based in the Paris region.

Furthermore, the Minister of the Interior, Bruno Retailleau, requested a referral to Pharos, the platform for reporting illicit content on the Internet, so that the publication could be removed, he explained. in an interview daily The Parisian.

A communication reminiscent of that of the FLNC

This type of communication, unprecedented in the world of narco-banditry, was until now more common in terrorist circles. The format is notably reminiscent of the communication of the clandestine movement of the Corsican National Liberation Front, with the difference that the men of the FLNC appear armed.

Last week, a 23-year-old inmate claiming to be part of the DZ Mafia ordered revenge from his cell in Aix-Luynes against a competitor, by commissioning a 15-year-old teenager. But the ” CONTRACT “ had gone very badly on Wednesday October 2, since this young person had finally been killed in conditions of “unprecedented savagery” according to the prosecution.

To take revenge, this same inmate then recruited a hitman only 14 years old on social networks, but here too this attempt at revenge turned into a tragedy with the death, Friday October 4, of a VTC driver, a father family totally foreign to this environment.

In this video, the man accuses this detainee of being “mythomaniac” and ensures that “the 14-year-old child and the use of the VTC to commit a crime have nothing to do with [leurs] methods »adding: “We have enough men, vehicles, means to act if we were obliged to do so. »

These comments made Jérémy Bacchi, senator (French Communist Party) from Bouches-du-Rhône, jump, on : “The mafia in conference. press to “restore the truth”: she claims responsibility for the murders, except the one committed by the 14-year-old child. We would like to harm their image! Mind-blowing! » The deputy (National Rally) Franck Allisio he demanded “the establishment of a state of emergency in all neighborhoods plagued by trafficking”.

Since January, seventeen people have died in Marseille in narchomicides. Last year, France’s second city experienced a bloodbath with forty-nine deaths, most linked to a conflict between the DZ Mafia and its Yoda competitors. Among them, seven minors lost their lives, according to the prosecution.
