The mayor of Timişoara, Dominic Fritz (USR), was booed, on Tuesday evening, on the stage of Rozelor Park, where a concert by the band Phoenix was scheduled for Timișoara Day. Fritz told those who booed him that today he is not doing politics, reports news.ro

On Tuesday evening, Dominic Fritz went up on the stage in Parcul Rozelor to hand a trophy to the band Phoenix, which celebrated its 60th anniversary on Timisoara Day, when the audience booed him.

“Today we don’t do politics, my dears, today we don’t do politics, we celebrate those who have given us joy, courage and beautiful music for 60 years. Thank you very much for everything you have done for Timişoara, you keep the spirit of Timişoara awake and for that you receive, here it says Phoenix 60, this beautiful sculpture. Happy birthday, Timisoara, happy birthday, Phoenix”, said Dominic Fritz, on stage.

Timisoara Day is celebrated on August 3, an event for which the House of Culture has prepared several concerts and exhibitions. One of these concerts is that of the band Phoenix, which celebrates 60 years of activity.

On August 3, 1919, Romanian troops entered Timisoara, and the Banat entered Romania’s borders, this day being declared Timisoara Day, reports news.ro
