sport">“You’re not taking a girl, are you? Because you have not made a hat-trick ”, the journalist continued, referring to an earlier comment by Haaland.

sport">“They are in my bed and I can sleep well with them. There is nothing better than scoring in football ”, he stated last November when he played for Red Bull Salzburg and had produced a handful of hat-tricks. “I now have five of those balls in my bed, they are like my girlfriends.”

sport">On Wednesday evening, though, Haaland did not feel like quoting his earlier statement and moving along with the journalist’s funny questions. “No, I didn’t do a hat-trick, no,” was his cool reaction.

sport">In the studio of the CBS Sports Former footballer and analyst Jamie Carragher did not know what he was experiencing. He ducked with vicarious shame. “I thought this was going to go wrong,” said the Englishman.
