Jorge Soler, Cuban outfielder for the Atlanta Braves, made history twice in the MLB World Series, after starting the first game with a great home run off the first pitches of the Houston Astros pitching.
Soler’s hit that was just the third pitch by Dominican starter Framber Valdéz, made him a the first player to start the first game of a World Series with homers, at the top of the first chapter.
It should be noted that before the Cuban, four other players had hit a home run in a first episode of the Fall Classic, however they all did it by closing the inning, as indicated by MLB statistics expert Sarah Langs.
