Video: Crashed Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean back at the calamity spot | Motorsport

sport">With a wrapped left foot and both hands in bandages, the Formula 1 driver reported to the room where his team Haas is housed. Practices for Sakhir’s GP will start on the same circuit on Friday. Grosjean will then be replaced by the Brazilian Pietro Fittipaldi.

sport">The 34-year-old Frenchman had a bad crash with his car on Sunday, when the car broke in two and caught fire. Grosjean escaped wonderfully, leaving only burns from the accident. On Wednesday he was allowed to leave the hospital.

sport">The team showed a video on Twitter in which Grosjean greeted members of the team. “So heartwarming,” read the accompanying text.

sport">Grosjean also met two firefighters as well as circuit doctor Ian Roberts and Alan van der Merwe, the driver of the medical car.

sport">Grosjean, who will leave Haas after this season, wants to drive himself in the closing Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi next week.
