Two demonstrations of the opposite sign took place this Saturday in Olympia, capital of the US state of Washington. One was made up of supporters of Donald Trump, while the other had been convened by the anarchist movement Antifa.
According informs local police, the two crowds met near the state capitol before dispersing into smaller groups. In recordings made in the place, clashes between the participants of both protests are seen.
The Police report having arrested a person “who would have fired at least one bullet with a pistol at the opposing crowd,” and detailed that he was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and, possibly, one count of recklessness.
The agents do not specify which demonstration the accused belonged to. Meanwhile, a video shows a Trump supporter pointing a gun at members of the Antifa collective. Among the president’s supporters you can see several armed individuals.
