Zoom, which supplies video conferencing software, has reached a $85 million settlement in the US state of California in a lawsuit over privacy issues.
The company was sued in March 2020 in a so-called class-action, a class action lawsuit that potential victims could join. The prosecutors went to court because they said Zoom was doing too little to ensure the privacy and security of its users.
The settlement still has to be approved by a judge in California. If approved, paying users will receive $25 in damages. Free users would get $15
