VIDEO | Career orientation via livestream: employers advertise on the YouTube format “What’s Next?” for offspring

Young people who have graduated from school are often faced with the big question: What now? It is often not that easy to find a suitable job. Often the right orientation is missing – this should be created by an online stream that brings students together with companies.

With the YouTube format “What’s Next?”, Employers are supposed to apply to schoolchildren, so to speak. All kinds of professional groups are guests in the studio: police, hospitals, start-ups or career advisors. The program will then be broadcast over the Internet and shown in schools throughout Lower Saxony and Bremen.

It seems unusual for employers to take such an offensive approach to recruiting applicants. But it is no longer an isolated case – especially in nursing. Throughout Lower Saxony (as of November 9, 2021) there are still 2,000 vacancies in the care sector. Young trainees are urgently needed.
