The other day we wrote that manufacturers are preparing video cards GeForce GTX 1650, equipped with GDDR6 memory instead of the standard GDDR5, due to the lack of the latter. And now such non-standard accelerators began to appear on sale.
In the assortment of the German online store PC service point Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1650 D6 OC and GeForce GTX 1650 WindForce D6 OC appeared. The fact that they are equipped with GDDR6 video memory is evidenced by the abbreviation “D6” in their names. In addition, the code names of graphic accelerators have changed. If in versions with GDDR5 memory the designation “1650” was used, then new versions with GDDR6 received the designation “1656” (for example, GV-N1656WF2OC-4GD).

Unfortunately, the clock frequency of the GDDR6 memory used in the new video cards is not specified. It was previously reported that the GeForce GTX 1650 will receive 4 GB of GDDR6 memory with a frequency of 1500 MHz (12 GHz effective). This will provide an increase in bandwidth from 128 GB / s on models with GDDR5 to 192 Gb / s on new products.
There are no other differences, for example, in the configuration of the GPU, in the new GeForce GTX 1650. If there was an even more powerful GPU here, this would have negatively affected the sales of the GeForce GTX 1650 Super, since this version differs from the original GeForce GTX 1650 not only in GDDR6 memory, but also in the additional 384 CUDA cores in the GPU. Interestingly, the new GeForce GTX 1650 with GDDR6 memory in the aforementioned German store remained even slightly cheaper than similar models with GDDR5 memory.
