VIDEO | Blueberries survived despite a fire in a family business in Trois-Rivières

“The blueberries are still in the fields and friends are coming to lend,” explained one of the company’s owners, Étienne Boulay, describing this event as “a disaster.” “

“We didn’t even think he could have gotten there,” said another owner of the corn flour farm, Sophie Deshaies.

However, the company’s trailer, which was a cottage, was completely destroyed by the fire.

“We lost jars of jam, tarts, the fridge, a scale, etc,” said Mr Boulay. “According to the firemen, it seems to be an electrical problem, overheating.”

Despite the damage, the owners decided to take advantage of this unfortunate event by finding a new concept for their trailer, which could be released in the months which is before us.
