As the class action against CD Projekt RED for the Cyberpunk 2077 case, the Polish software house has decided to return to publicly address the videogame community.
Directly from the pages of your official Twitter account of the title, it is Marcin Iwinski, the co-founder of CD Projekt RED to personally apologize to the public. Obviously, the words of the executive are dedicated to the difficulties that involved the launch of the ambitious RPG on old gen consoles, with Cyberpunk 2077 suffering from multiple problems especially on the original models of PlayStation 4 e Xbox One. In the video, the co-founder of the Polish software house admits the failure of CD Projekt RED on the old-gen console front, stating bluntly that “the game does not reach our quality standards that we set ourselves“. Iwinski and the entire management express their apologies for the occurrence of this situation, asking the public not to blame the developers for the state of Cyberpunk 2077, as everyone has worked hard and given their best. The responsibility for the troubled debut of the game on console – says Iwinski – lies in having concentrated the energies on the PC version and then adapting the version on console, underestimating however the difficulties of the process. The continuous attempt to improve the title on PS4 and Xbox One until the last moment was the reason that prompted the team to send review key for these versions only starting from 8 December 2020, later than originally foreseen.
