Ultrasound machine and radiology room
An envelope of € 455,000 is planned for Montval-sur-Loir hospital “To support the acquisition of a new ultrasound machine for advanced midwifery consultations, the equipment of an X-ray room and the cooling of the premises,” revealed Hervé Roncière.
This amount will be financed to the tune of € 341,250 by the ARS and € 113,750 for the Region within the framework of the Regional Fund for the support of hospital equipment.
In Pays de la Loire, the Region mobilizes 2.2 million euros aid to local hospitals, including 1.3 million for Sarthe.
Even if the Region has no specific competence in the field of health, I have decided to make it a strong axis of our action and to support, with the regional recovery plan, the modernization of our care offer initiated by the ARS.
“It is no coincidence that this press conference is taking place here. It’s a symbol. The issue of health must unite us to ensure that the entire population can be treated, ”she adds.
Advanced consultations
With the establishment of the Regional Hospital Equipment Support Fund, for which the Château-du-Loir establishment was selected along with 23 others, one of the priority areas relates to the development of advanced consultations in hospitals in proximity “where the teams are smaller”.
In Montval-sur-Loir, the hospital center is a good student with some 19 advanced consultations offered to patients.
Labeling to come
“I think this hospital is not second class, it has projects that we are going to support”, assured Jean-Jacques Coiplet, director general of the ARS Pays de la Loire.
He adds: “As part of the Ségur de la santé, we are implementing a labeling reform for local hospitals. I can tell you that in the second half of 2021, the hospital has every chance of being selected. This labeling should enable the establishment to receive additional funding from the State ”.
No forgotten territory
In addition to the region’s recovery plan, there is an envelope of 3.5 million from the ARS for local hospitals, including Montval-sur-Loir. “There is no abandoned territory, you will not be forgotten”, assures Jean-Jacques Coiplet.
Regarding emergencies, temporarily closed for many months, in Montval, the director general of the ARS wanted to be reassuring. “The emergency department will not be closed. It will continue to operate ”. In a new form, no doubt.
Urgency to find a solution for emergencies
The Groupement Hospitalier de Territoire, led by the CH du Mans, of which Montval-sur-Loir is a part, is working on the case. Because there is an urgent need to respond to the concerns of the local population about the future of this service.
“We are working on the Montval emergencies to find out what the real needs of the population are, using modern means such as telemedicine. To bring in young doctors, we must standardize practices between city hospitals and those nearby so as to make their activities sustainable over time. We have learned a lot from this crisis. We have never worked so much with city medicine. Connections have been created with all health stakeholders, ”said Joël Pannetier, regional coordinating doctor.
Vaccination
With regard to vaccination against Covid-19, Herve Ronciere recalled that his city had volunteered to host a center. During the 1st wave of opening in January 2021, the city was not selected. If it were to be in the near future, “it is at the hospital that the injections would be carried out,” said the mayor.
