During the evening entertainment show “Вечерний Ургант” he hosted with the showman Ivan Urgant, Muceniece shared news about her professional growth, working on several film projects, as well as about the peripetics of her Muscovite life. For example, the actress was recently punished for violating the self-isolation regime.
Talking about the role in a new series, the actress says that she should portray a German in it. The conversation with the showman gradually moved to Muceniece’s language skills. Muceniece was born in Riga on March 1, 1989 in the family of a restaurant chef and bartender, and Urgants also knew about her origin, who asked if she spoke Latvian.
“Of course, of course, I was born in Latvia,” Muceniece explained on the show. Urgants also asked her to say something in Latvian, and Muceniece chose the phrase “I’m very happy to be here!”
But the showman’s request to talk in Russian for a while later, but with a Latvian accent, the actress was no longer so smooth. “I speak pure Russian, do you understand?” Although Muceniece fulfilled the task, she does not value her ability to speak with a Latvian accent.
Asked why Muceniece succumbs to Russian without an accent, but not to actress Ingeborg Dapkunaite, Muceniece clearly stated: “Because I am from Latvia, but she is from Lithuania”. The two agreed that Laima Vaikule also speaks excellent Russian, but “Raimonds Pauls does not speak, he plays”.
Conversation show recording (Muceniece Latvian language, starting from 11:30 min)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=huDUXL6_rEMAs you know, Agate Muceniece established her career in Moscow. This year, the actress divorced Pavel Priluchny, one of the most popular actors in Russian show business. Both have two children.
