Coach Indonesian National Team, Shin Tae-yonghad not wanted to call Pratama Arhan for two Group C matches in the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in the Asian Zone.
Not because of Arhan’s domestic problems, but because the 22-year-old fullback has rarely played for Suwon FC in the South Korean League this season.

“Because in the South Korean League, he was not included in the Suwon FC squad at all. So that problem was indeed considered,” explained the 53-year-old architect.
The Indonesian national team will first challenge the host Saudi Arabian national team at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, Jeddah, on September 5, 2024.
Five days later, the team nicknamed Garuda will face the Australian National Team at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Central Jakarta.
“In the end, I still chose Arhan for the Indonesian National Team. After that, it happened and there was a problem with Arhan like that,” said Shin Tae-yong.
