New Delhi: Security has been beefed up at the home and office of National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval. This follows the revelation that a video captured by Dowell’s office was sent to Pakistan by Jaish-e-Muhammad terrorist. The arrested terrorist also said that he had conducted inspections at Sardar Patel Bhavan and other high-rise places in the capital. It is learned that he had inspected the places on the instructions of Pakistan.
Dowell has been the focus of Pakistani terrorist organizations since the 2016 Uri surgical strike. Dowell is also one of the most secure people in India. There are also indications that a detailed video of Dowell’s office was obtained from the captured terrorist. The video is said to contain information, including security deployments.
Hidayat Ullah Malik, a native of Shopian, was arrested on February 6. Malik is the head of Lashkar-e-Taiba, a leading Jaish-e-Muhammad organization. He was arrested from Anantnag. Weapons were also seized. Malik joined Hizbul Mujahideen on July 31, 2019. Prior to that, Jaish had worked for Muhammad. Returned to Jaish in February 2020. Mustafa formed Lashkar-e-Taiba in August.
Malik reveals:
‘On May 24, 2019, Malik took a video of the NSA office on an Indigo flight from Srinagar to New Delhi. The video also covered issues including CISF security deployment. It was sent to someone in Pakistan via WhatsApp. He calls a Pakistani man an doctor. Then the bus returned to Kashmir. ‘ In 2019, he also filmed a video of the Samba sector border area. He was accompanied by Sameer Ahmed Dhar. Dhar was arrested on January 21, 2020 in connection with the 2019 Pulwama terror case.
The Hyundai Santro car was set up by Malik for the May 2020 suicide attack. He also admitted that he, Irfan Toker, Umar Mushtaq and Raees Mustafa had stolen Rs 60 lakh from J&K Bank’s cash van in Shopian in November 2020.
He also handed over the names, codes and phone numbers of 10 people he contacted in Pakistan.
