Friday, the young people of the Red Cross district wanted to organize a football tournament and a basketball tournament on the city stadium Mohamed-Hère Savane, named after this 15-year-old suddenly died of a heart attack while playing football on the same field on February 13, 2019. The idea was to pay tribute to the young victim, but also after the assault on the journalist of the Union, to show their solidarity with Christian Lantenois.
“The young people of the Red Cross wanted to show that things are going well here. The journalists of the Union we know them, we grew up together, we wanted to show that we do not accept what happened ”, indicated in a video Ismaël Taggae, recognized dancer and director of Studio 511 among others in Reims . In addition, another tournament is scheduled this Sunday afternoon on the Marcel-Thil field in Châtillons, which will bring together several teams from different districts of the city, always in the same spirit.
