A taxi driver attacked in Malaga for not allowing him to get into the car with drinks
Two young men attacked a taxi driver last Saturday night after telling them that they could not get into the car with alcoholic beverages. The young people tried to make use of the transport consuming litronas. The attack occurred at the taxi rank on Isaac Peral Street, on the Cádiz Highway, and the driver received racist insults and blows all over the body, as well as an ear injury, according to the medical report.
Faced with the taxi driver’s refusal to take them, the young people responded: “Negro, you are going to take us with drinks or without drinks, and if you want to continue living, take us or we will kill you.”
One of the young men took a jacket from the passenger seat to make the taxi driver go out to retrieve it and that was when the other hit him hard on the head. When he tried to flee, he was knocked down and was kicked, punched and beaten with a chair, according to the National Police Force.
Several neighbors intervened, but the victim ended up losing consciousness as they were unable to stop the assailants. The taxi driver was taken by a colleague to the Cruz del Humilladero health center, but an ambulance referred him to the Clinical Hospital.
Police sources have confirmed that two men, ages 23 and 29, were identified and detained after the events as alleged perpetrators of a crime of threats and injuries.
