Leonardo Figueroa, the bus driver of line 506, was stabbed to death in the town of Glew, Buenos Aires district of Almirante Brown.
The video captured by the security camera of the bus that Figueroa was driving showed the complete sequence in which Calipsto de Jesús Ojeda stabbed him twice and ran away.
In the images it is observed that Jeda, who had a mask on and a bag in her hand, approached Figueroa pretending that she was going to get off through the front door of the bus. At that moment, he had a brief conversation with the driver.
When the driver slowed down to stop at one of the stops, the 57-year-old man pulled a knife from inside the bag and stabbed him twice in the stomach.
The murderer got off the bus with the vehicle in motion and almost fell to the ground. For his part, Figueroa observed the blood stains on his hand and body, but continued driving several more blocks.
One of the passengers quickly called 911 to report the brutal attack that the bus driver suffered a few minutes after 8:30 p.m., when he was traveling on Pereyra Street, between Presa and Rojas.
The driver was rushed to the hospital in his own bus.
The driver was rushed in his own bus to the Cecilia Grierson hospital in Guernica, but died a few hours later due to the serious injuries caused by the stab wounds.
Another video showed how the accused of the crime, Calipsto de Jesús Ojeda (57), got off the bus and began to run to escape. Within a few minutes he was quickly apprehended thanks to the intervention of the police.
According to initial information, it is ruled out that the motive for the attack was robbery. Investigators point to an episode of extreme violence, since Ojeda attacked Figueroa after learning that his wife had apparently had an extramarital relationship with the victim.
The Fiscal Instruction Unit (UFI) No. 3, headed by Dr. Baloira, intervened in the case. Among the first measures he took, Baloira classified the case as homicide aggravated by treachery.
