After the end of filming for season 5, the veil has not been lifted on the future properties that will appear in the next season of the Netflix series “The Agency: Luxury Family Real Estate”. This series traces the work of the Kretz family and its luxury real estate agency in France and abroad.
Will a beautiful 19th century Gascon woman be among the selected ones? Located 20 km from Auch, this mansion and its outbuildings have entered the international agency’s portfolio. The 6.5-hectare lot, for sale for 3 million euros, perfectly maintains the nickname of “little French Tuscany” of the department. Marie-Caroline Dellus, former presenter on TLT and specialist in luxury real estate, explains: “I have never seen a property like it in the Gers. The building dates from 1830”, enthuses the person in charge of selling the property.

Looking for sunshine, originally from the Pays de la Loire, Mylène and her husband fell under the spell of these places about ten years ago. However, they required major work: “The house was occupied by people who came there for two weeks a year. It was not at all adapted to slightly harsher winters.”

The major works then began: first the heating, then the insulation, and finally the decoration. “The owners decided to preserve the authenticity of the place in this main building,” comments Marie-Caroline Dellus.

Beyond the visual aspect, Mylène wanted to recreate a special atmosphere: “The theme was the family home of the great aunt we all knew, with everything that went with it: the pies, the smells, the colors and all the emotions. Having known her as a child in Brittany, I really wanted to recreate a family place,” confides the owner.
The modern style barn
In addition to this first home, a barn, used as a luxury family gîte, has been converted for four years: “We had been circling this barn for eight years. We said to ourselves that it was a rather magical place and that we should be able to do something with it.”

From then on, the work began at the dawn of 2020: “We started with four walls. There was no more roof, no more framework, nothing. The spearhead was not to be ostentatious. We imagined this place as a place, also for family, where there could be fifteen people in the same room.”

Mission accomplished, since the living room serves as a place for sharing, spacious thanks to the high ceiling of the barn, and harmonious thanks to Mylène’s heritage: “My father was a decorator. I was of course inspired by his teaching, the choice of colors, being able to have rather neutral walls and decorative elements rather in bright colors.”

The exterior is not left out between the two swimming pools, the French garden or the trees of various species. In total, the park extends over nearly 6.5 hectares, surrounded by the Gers countryside and a small lake below. 27 hectares of agricultural land placed under organic farming can be acquired in addition to the estate, totaling 13 rooms and 950 m² of living space.
