Teddy Riner scored the decisive point for reigning Olympic champion France on Saturday, sending them to the semi-finals of the mixed team tournament at the Paris Olympics, in an unusual fight.
For the 5th fight of the Blues, against South Korea, Teddy Riner faced Joon-hwan Lee in the +90 kg category. The French Olympic champion of +100 kg easily overcame the South Korean who was almost half the weight of the Guadeloupean.

Riner’s opponent, Joonhwan Lee, weighed in at just 83 kilos, compared to 141.5 for the Frenchman on Thursday, on the eve of his third individual title. Riner won by ippon before the end of the four regulation minutes.
