Five people were injured when a plane crashed into a bus at Los Angeles International Airport, California, on Friday night.
Officials said that the American Airlines plane was not carrying passengers, knowing that it was an Airbus A321.
The incident occurred while the plane was being pulled down a corridor, hitting a bus transporting passengers from one place to another on the airport grounds, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said five people were injured in a “low-speed collision.”
The five injured are the bus driver and 3 of its passengers, and they were taken to hospital, in addition to a worker who was on board the plane, who received treatment at the scene of the accident.
American Airlines announced that the plane was not operating as a commercial flight when the collision occurred, and there were no passengers on board, while the airport confirmed that other operations remained normal.
