VIDEO ⟩ An employee of the Russian consulate in Rio de Janeiro attacked a protester

The incident happened on February 24 – the first anniversary of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.

The employee of the consulate hit the protester on the back and also threatened that “he will get even harder”.

Her friend, also a Russian citizen, was with the young woman. She filmed the moment of the attack with her mobile phone.

The Rio de Janeiro newspaper “Globo” described the incident.

The police detained the employee of the consulate and took him to the station. The two young women were also taken to the station.

They were later dismissed, but the victim was sent for a medical examination.

The victim wrote a complaint to the police, the web media “Meduza” reports, but now the consulate representatives are threatening the woman that a criminal case will be initiated against her.
