NATO countries did not intend to attack Russia. Ukraine has no plans to attack Crimea. Russia’s military is not dying to defend its country, but is trying to occupy another country, Ukrainian President’s adviser Mykhailo Podoliak wrote on Twitter, quoted by the Russian service of the BBC. He responded to Russian President Vladimir Putin, who said at today’s Victory Day parade that he had attacked Ukraine because he feared it or NATO would attack first, British media reported. Podoliak described “Russia’s painful imperial ambitions” as the only reason for the war.
