Victory for the Tigers at the end of this tough week against Biel 2-1

After yesterday’s great success in Geneva, the fans’ expectations were high today. In front of 6,000 spectators in the sold-out Emmental Insurance Arena, the SCL Tigers fought hard and had to chase down a deficit after the first third. Then relief came in the final third. Julian Dirt scored for a 2-1 lead. Despite pressure from Biel, the Langnauers were able to hold on until the end.

The start to the derby at home against Biel was slow. There were chances on both sides, but the emotions were missing. The Langnauers were able to survive their first penalty against the Tigers without conceding a goal. Seven minutes before the end of the starting third, Viktor Lööv scored after a back pass to make the interim result 0-1 at the first break.

Emotions are also missing in the middle third. It was only halfway through the game when the referees missed two penalties that the Langnauer fans became loud. When Viktor Lööv had to go to the penalty box for two minutes, the Tigers played a very poor power play. A few seconds later, however, after yesterday, it was Noah Meier who scored the equalizer again. From then on, emotions ran high and blows were exchanged. Noah Délémont from Biel received 2 penalty minutes twice and Aleksi Saarela had to go into the cooler for 2 minutes with a bleeding mouth.

The start of the final third didn’t go according to plan. Vili Saarijärvi had to go to the penalty box for two minutes because of a hold. Fortunately, the Bielers were unable to exploit this and so it was Julian Fehl from the SCL Tigers who, after a long back and forth, managed the stroke of genius to take the lead 2 to 1. Despite great pressure from Biel, the Tigers were able to maintain this small lead and, after yesterday, got three points again today. This gives us the new and very good 7th place in the table.
