Topsport Noord has attracted a big name as sports manager. René Wolff will guide top athletes from the Northern Netherlands.
The German was no longer the coach of the Dutch track cyclists during the last Olympic Games. Before that he was successful, among others with Harry Lavreysen. Since 2010 he has been the coach of the sprinters.
Wolff himself became world champion and Olympic champion with the team sprint for Germany.
Topsport Noord is committed to good guidance of top athletes in Drenthe, Groningen and Friesland. They work together with fourteen sports associations, which means that the best skaters, gymnasts or swimmers are helped with things like housing, training and mental guidance.
