Víctor Rodríguez takes over as general director of Pemex

Víctor Rodríguez Padilla took over as general director of Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) in the first session of the Board of Directors of the state company corresponding to the administration of the government of President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.

The oil company reported in a statement that Rodríguez Padilla came to take possession of the position for which he was appointed by the president.

The state company noted that the Board of Directors, now chaired by Luz Elena González Escobar, head of the Ministry of Energy (SENER), also approved the appointments of the officials who will be in charge of the Pemex subsidiaries.

The company did not indicate the names of the new officials, but according to a proposal sent by the new general director, Néstor Martínez Romero would serve as director of Pemex Exploration and Production (PEP); and Carlos Armando Lechuga Aguiñaga, as general director of Pemex Industrial Transformation (Pemex TRI).

The oil company indicated that the appointments for the Corporate Administration and Services Directorate and its respective subdirectorates were also agreed, as well as those of the Corporate Planning, Coordination and Performance Directorate, the Corporate Finance Directorate and the Legal Directorate.

“All appointments were approved unanimously by the Council,” highlighted the state company.
