Victor Osimhen, the surprising revelation

A surprising revelation was made about Victor Osimhen’s transfer to Galatasaray on Monday.

The summer transfer window may have ended a little over a week ago. But some operations on the transfer market this summer continue to be talked about. This is particularly the case with the transfer of Victor Osimhen to Galatasaray, about which a surprising revelation came out this Monday.

Galatasaray Save Osimhen From a Blank Season

Victor Osimhen had a very busy transfer window this summer. Eager to leave Naples, the Nigerian international saw several clubs come knocking at his door. But his suitors were put off by the demands of Naples who were demanding the 130 million euros release clause of the former LOSC player. The club finally revised its conditions downwards in the last days of the transfer window but it was Victor Osimhen’s turn to reject the last offers, including a juicy proposal from Al Ahli.

Following the closing of the transfer window in Italy, Napoli dismissed the player from the professional squad, thus confirming the breakdown in relations between the Nigerian and the management. That’s when Galatasaray came into the picture and secured the loan of the former Charleroi striker. But Victor Osimhen would have preferred a completely different outcome.

Victor Osimhen almost joined Chelsea

If Victor Osimhen refused to join Saudi Arabia, it was because he hoped to join a European bigwig. The Nigerian international had even given priority to PSG and Chelsea. And if the Parisian club did not insist, the Blues did come back to the charge. But the deal was ultimately not concluded due to the closing of the transfer window, much to the dismay of Victor Osimhen.

“He was disappointed that it didn’t happen. I spoke to him when the window closed, I called him, we spent 20 minutes talking, I said to him: ‘listen, I’m always here for you, you’ve got to keep your head down, you’ve got to keep working hard, keep training, I know it’s not the best situation at the moment but I know you’re strong’,” reveals John Mikel Obi in The Obi One Podcast, this Monday.
