Victor Moro of Colomiers Regains Attention

At 24, the columérin three-quarter who can evolve in the center as well as on the wing has a string of good performances. His double against Aurillac, last Friday, confirms it.

The sun is shining on this first day of spring and Victor Moro, the versatile three-quarter from Colomiers, is smiling broadly, having achieved a very convincing performance a few days earlier against Aurillac. Author of a double against the Cantaliens including a magnificent try after an acceleration over 40m in the heart of the opposing defense, Victor Moro confirms his good form at the moment. “It’s true that I feel good and that I have the opportunities to play that I expected”, confirms this pure product of the club which has just chained four meetings (three as holder) by finding a position of center which is dear to him. “It’s my training position and this return to the center gives me full confidence”, confirms the Columérin who nevertheless took his first steps with the pros in 2019 as a winger. “Yes, it was on the wing that I started with the pros. It was a good experience because I progressed but I always had this double project of evolving in the center or on the wing.”

The choice paid off and Victor Moro, 24, is reaping the fruits of his labor and efforts. “He’s a competitor, he doesn’t give up, he has a temperament”, underlined Fabien Berneau, coach of the forwards of Colomiers, after the victory against Aurillac on Friday, who appreciated the performance of the center three-quarter : “He took initiatives and made paying choices like his second try.” A nice suitcase at 40m “where I take the hole between two 2nd line players”, says Victor Moro who savored this meeting until the end: “We had a great time, especially behind but it’s also thanks to the work of our forwards who dominated.”

The future under discussion

A performance that the Columérins will be called upon to reproduce in the coming weeks with a series of matches against qualifying competitors such as Provence, Stade Montois and Nevers, so many trap matches that will have to be negotiated. “But these are terribly exciting matches to play, it’s a great challenge that awaits us”, slips Victor Moro, in full negotiation for the extension of his contract which ends at the end of the season. “For the time being, we are discussing. I want to continue here but I will see what they want to offer me, what will be the project”, he concludes.
