The Civil Guard has arrested the businessman Víctor de Aldama, president of Zamora CF – considered the organizer of the Koldo case plot – for having defrauded the Treasury of 182 million euros in a period of two years.
According to sources close to the investigation, De Aldama would have played a mediating role in the hydrocarbon fraud plot that agents from the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard and the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office are investigating.
Businessman Claudio Rivas, linked to the Villafuel company, a fuel marketer, has also been arrested. According to sources close to the investigation, De Aldama acted as a mediator with foreign wholesalers and established contacts for VAT evasion.
Inspections and detainees
The operation, which remains open, has been carried out since this morning in several provinces, especially in Madrid, Salamanca and Cáceres. In this last province, a farm in a hunting reserve related to Rivas is inspected.
At the moment, the Civil Guard has arrested 14 people and has searched 11 homes and company headquarters.
Currently, De Aldama is being investigated for irregularities in the adjudication of mask purchases in the covid-19 pandemic.
