Victims of violence on New York streets continue to rise

A man died and three were injured in a shooting that occurred this Sunday in the New York county of Brooklyn, which the police believe is due to a reprisal, in the continuation of the violence by firearms in the streets of this city, which claimed seven people.

Police found the four men with multiple gunshot wounds near a public housing complex at around two in the morning local time in the community of Conney Island, in Brooklyn.

The men were brought to various hospitals where one of them, 27, was pronounced dead. One of the injured, 36, is in serious but stable condition, according to local media.

Police believe this shooting that left one dead may have been a retaliation for another murder recorded twelve hours before this incident in the same neighborhood.

According to the police, the three injured have been shown “very unwilling to cooperate.”

He also indicated that it is still unknown how many shot and that there are still no arrests.

The shooting caused “numerous calls to 911”, and police found at least 20 casings at the scene of the incident.

Another of the victims of violence this weekend is Priscilla Vasquez, 25 years old and had three children.

The woman was murdered near her home around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The policeman has released a surveillance video of the suspect in Vásquez’s death in which a person is seen dressed in black with a white mask.
