Three victim claims unit link to OJK

The second demand is a moratorium or abolishing unit links. Then, the third asked for an audience with the OJK and the three insurance companies.

Maria explained that all of these demands were submitted before the OJK leadership, which is currently entering the transitional stage.
“We want the problems we are experiencing will not become a PR for the leadership of the OJK in the next period. This is where we want the demands and promises that have been conveyed at the Hearing Meeting at the DPR to be resolved, do not delay any further,” said Maria.

OJK’s Response
Meanwhile, OJK Spokesman Sekar Putih Djarot said that the settlement of disputes between customers and insurance companies that are bound by civil agreements can only be resolved by both parties.
This includes taking mediation outside the court or through the court.
“Including if there are allegations of fraud that are often echoed by customers against agents, because this has entered the criminal path which is of course the domain of the police’s authority,” Sekar said in his statement Tuesday (22/3/2022).
He said, OJK has firmly requested that insurance companies resolve problems with their customers, including calling 3 of its directors. Thus, customers are directed to go through mediation which is carried out through LAPS.
As long as this procedure has not been followed, although it is guaranteed by the law to express opinions, this demonstration does not solve the problem, because through this LAPS OJK has received a commitment from the insurance company in the form of a settlement.
